Programme 1: Vespa tours in Barolo – Barbaresco – Langhe Roero

Enjoy slow food gastronomy, taste fine wines and live the Dolce Vita Vespa feeling. The Vespa is not just the symbol of Italian life, but is extremely useful in curves and on narrow roads. With a 125cc underneath the seat, you can go up to 120 km/h on the main roads, going through the Piedmontese scents and colours.

Our native Vespa guide delivers your Vespa at the hotel. After making acquaintance, he will explain the three different routes and the do's and don'ts, followed by a short Vespa-tour as a preparation for the trip.

Discover the 11 villages where Barolo wine is produced, visit Castello Grinzane Cavour and enjoy a comparative Barolo tasting in the local enoteca. Don’t forget to visit Serralungo Castello, taste authentic regional cheeses, honey and other ... and enjoy slow food restaurants in the region of La Morra.

The next day we’ll visit the three villages producing Barbaresco wine. Visit the enoteca in a cosy church, taste and enjoy Barbaresco, and a Piedmont snack in the tavern, opposite the enoteca. Stroll between the locals and get an espresso on a terrace . Diner in a cosy and surprising restaurant.

TThe third day we explore the Langhe Roero region with its capital Alba : well known for the 1kg-Nutella jars and even the Nutella pizza here is on top. But Alba is also the place to be for the popular White Truffle. An early morning walk with a trifulau and his dog will learn you the various types of truffles. During a Vespa tour to Pollenzo you can visit Università di Scienze Gastronomiche, the Banca del Vino and Da Guido's. This region is the birthplace of the world famous slow food movement. The banca del Vino is host to a museum where you discover the Italian oenological landscape, region by region, tasting the wines that represent its history and terroir. Restaurant Da Guido serves continental gastronomic meals and if you want to stay after a fine dinner, the Albergo dell'Agenzia welcomes you.

Programme 2: Torino by day (volledig dagprogramma)

If you want to be captured by a secret Turin you can take part in an underground tour. Beneath the hectic city lies another mysterious and unknown world where time seems to stand still. Fifteen metres below the city, the tunnels of the citadel and the sub-cellars of the Baroque palaces are waiting to let you discover their mysteries. Enjoy the Piedmontese traditions during a visit to the Pastificio Defilippis (fresh pasta since 1872), the Pasticceria Gertosio (artisan bakery and pastries), and the world famous Guido Gubinno’s chocolate boutique. In the evening we share the local Piedmontese Bagna coada ritual and aperitif on the Fiat-racetrack at Lingotto.

Enter the magic world of the baroque palace Reggia di Venaria Reale, only 10 km from Turin. Admire the historical architecture and art, where also Belgium is represented. Enjoy a spectacular aperitif in Dolce Stil Novo, a 2-star Michelin restaurant with roof terrace, followed by an exceptional gourmet menu.

Programme 4: Fiat 500 Turin Emotions

Explore Turin in a Fiat 500- the symbol of the city- starting from the historical center, along the Po River to the Automobile Museum of Turin Car Design where you can admire the Pininfarina Collection. Car design masterpieces such as Modulo Cisitalia from 1947 to the 1970 Ferrari Mythos concept and the Maserati Birdcage 75th. The tour ends on the roof of the Lingotto complex, where you drive on the racetrack (unique event) that was built in the 20’s. Aperitif on the roof with marvellous views.

Bagna Cauda, which basically means “warm sauce“ is still today in Langhe a meal of friendship when it gets colder, it’s a dip made from a mixture of anchovies, garlic and olive oil. In this workshop, each participant will receive a hot "fornelletto ”: a terracotta bowl with a tealight holder for the dipping sauce. You will learn the process of making Bagna cauda, followed by a tasting with cheese, dark bread, wine and cooked vegetables. Then you have a lunch at the family restaurant of the artisan producer situated in Monferrato .
